I'd expect jaggies, a lower resolution, and certainly not as much lighting.

Don't forget the frame rate chugging!
I wasn't overly blown away, we've seen things more impressive than that before.
Very clever choice to set it at night time in the rain:
You don't need to show background detail
It doesn't matter if everything is all rubbery and wet looking because that's how things look in the rain.
The engine shots posted earlier in the thread don't look quite as funky in daytime lighting.
Plus with this one being blatantly running from an unspecified PC, I'm sure everything will be scaled back for PS3/360 IF it ends up coming out for those machines.

It could just be that the Fox Engine is a well put together piece of software and gets an extra x% out of the hardware. I think it looks great and while I think that it will indeed not look as good in the daytime scenes the physics that seemed to be in play and the facial detail really stood out for me.

I really need to finish MGS3, MGS4, and maybe a looksy a the original MSX games. Every time I see Snake, I get excited. I dunno if it's the gruff lyrics he pours down my front or the beardy head stuck on a slim sneaking suit. I'm hyped.
One of the greatest characters ever, surrounded in thick, but crazy mixed up plot.
Off-topic: I think the whole MGS world would be better unraveled in TV seriesA movie may not be enough time. Like Prometheus, if they try to wedge loads of vague-ish information without the other vital informations, then it could be a solo movie (if it does plop) that just confuses. Unless, of course, it's going to be Expendables stylie.
