In fairness they have to do this because Sony (smartly so) don't cross promote that it's coming to anything other than PS and PC... if you just watched the showcase and the ending credits of each trailer you'd assume (wrongly) that they're an exclusive.

As for the Q streaming device, having slept on it now I have questions over the design. If they were going to go all in on a streaming device why make one where the tablet/screen is permanently attached? They could have imitated the switch with side rails to clamp the controller pieces onto, or those telescopic controller designs.

Making the screen a separate removeable piece means it could be used standalone as a tablet (android maybe) for extra use-cases and similarly they could have opened up the controller itself to then being used on it's own directly on your PS5 console.

That in itself would bring more usage for your investment over it solely being used for just streaming. I honestly think they've missed a trick or two here... especially as form-wise the controls are an exact dual sense replica.

Because then it wouldn't have a USP.

My issue with 'Project Q' is that DualSense controllers are about as durable as a chocolate teapot, and the idea of cutting one in half and glueing it to a glorified tablet does not fill me with confidence that the whole thing won't need replacing. I already have one of those Backbone controllers for my iPhone, but at least if that gets stick drift or sticky buttons I'm not throwing the phone out with it. Also, I hope that the remote play app is more reliable on their own devices that it is on phones - I've seen it be buggy, drop inputs, you name it.

The one minute intro to this on the stream last night was very odd, a total non-event.

EDIT: is that separate to a Snake Eater remake?
Yeah so there are two games being released.

One is a compilation of MGS1, 2 and 3. But it's just the OG PS1 game and then the existing 360/PS3 HD versions of 2 and 3. It's also labelled 'Vol 1' so I think we can surmise that a 'Vol 2' will probably contain Peace Walker, MGS4 and MGS5.

Then there's MGS Delta, which is a ground-up remake of MGS3. It's being done by Konami's 'Virtuous Studios' though, not Bluepoint, so...who knows if it'll be good? We can only hope so.

It'll probably end up being a Twin Snakes I reckon, an interesting and fun new flavour of a classic game. Looking forward to seeing more on it.

Thanks buddy. I was too excited at seeing Snake appear and before I knew it I was looking at the compilation image.

Hope Konami do a similar compilation when the Silent Hill 2 remake happens.

Caught the show late last night.
I thought the showing was really bad.
                Good: Spidey 2.
                Interested: MGS collection / MG3

Everything else was either multiplayer shooters or stuff we already knew about.

The lack of genuine PS5 only titles was shocking.
What are sucker punch, naughty dog, bluepoint, bend up to for last 2 years?

Their making games, just good ones. They have all over the years stated they will announce games when they are ready from now on, as announcing things too early has bit them in the arse.

Also you knew about Sword of the Sea? And Helldivers2? Nice.

Helldivers 2 has been known about for over a year it was part of the Nvidia leak

I bet his dad has a PlayStation 6 with the Last of us 3 And the bluepoint Bloodborne remake, that's how he knows about all these things that us mere mortals only found about 14 hours ago

You'd have to change the internet's name too, I wonder if Sony is still in a mindset to pick up on how the displeasure at last nights showcase is very clearly a widespread response now

So Sony does a presentation with little in the way of exclusives which there have been plenty of negativity on the Xbox side about, yet somehow this is Sony bashing?

Hold up, I have to take a call from the 1980s school ground console wars manager ...

I was genuinely surprised at how few games I knew about!
Normally there's nothing that hasn't been talked about before these presentations. I know some of it will have come out in leaks (which we frown upon reporting here, if possible) and if you intently follow games news, but other that Street Fighter 6 and possibly Alan Wake 2 (although I could be thinking about the remake of AW1), it was all fresh to me.

Slightly disappointed at how few games had the PS4 logo too, but on the flipside, I'm kinda glad that the move away from developing for 2 gens is slowing down, meaning more focus on PS5 and maximising use of the hardware.

                            I don't think there was a single game I wasn't curious about.
Some were a bit vague (Talos Principle, Neva and Revenant Hill) and a couple looked a bit generic, but not awful.

                            Standouts for me were:
                            Helldivers 2 - Like EDF/Lost Planet/Starship Troopers, so I was awl o'er that.
The Plucky Squire - I love games that think outside the box and I loved the edge-traversal mechanic like Fez.
Phantom Blade Zero - Woah, I loved the swordplay in this. It looked like a samurai film. Some cool set pieces too like the cart fight.
Cat Quest - mainly because it's so cute and looks like Overboard!
Arizona Sunshine 2 - Original is a must-play for the PSVR1, so more of this, please!
Marathon - looks amazing. Bungie design is a step ahead of the competitors. Kind of game I'd buy the artbook for. However, PvP-only make QC sad.

For a company that relys on exclusives and third party games to sell its consoles it needs to be healthy on both fronts so i don't know why people are kicking off about their being a decent split of exclusives and new third party releases that aren't exclusives announced. saying their is nothing exclusive too eh??? where we watching the same show.

                              exclusives

                              Final Fantasy XVI,
                              Spider-Man 2,
                              Fairgame$,
                              Helldivers 2
                              Phantom Blade Zero,
                              Sword of the Sea,
                              Foamstars,
                              Synapse

New games announcements that we didn't know about that are not exclusives

Metal Gear solid ∆ alt j
                              Dragons dogma
                              Marathon (sony owend studio bungie)
                              Assassins creed mirage
                              the Talos principle 2

From sonys point of view they need to show off strong third party support too especially in the wake of Microsoft buying up massive third partry studios like activsions Bethesda iD and arkane and making games that where previously multiplatfom xbox exclusives.
