Can't LG send a disc or email the software? That's what Samsung did regarding the tearing problems!

I'm sure they will realise it isn't realistic for everyone to send the TV to them to update the firmware and then make a CD for us. And who pays postage for it? I'm sure it'll come to around ?50+ there and back - and just for an update?!

Has the LG even got an accessable service port?

Yes, it has a serial port on the back of the TV.

Hasan Hadi-it seems LG courier the TVs back and forth at their own expense.

Can anyone recommend a decent wall mount for my 26" LG?

I have to keep my old CRT for vertical shooters, so my only option is to wallmount the LCD due to space restrictions.

Ohhh, very nice. I might be tempted to spring for one of these cards in my new build, but what are the results for PC through component?

I wonder if this HDCP update is the reason why empire direct have yet to recieve stock of the LG since i ordered it almost a month ago.

I hope as i'll be recieving a brand new one that this HDCP issue will be cleared up on my set.

I've cancelled that order as I've managed to get the IDTV version (LE32R41BD) for ?675 including delivery at Freemans.com.

I was disappointed after thinking I found a good deal, but the order with the other place hadn't been sent, so I secured the Freeman's one and then cancelled that one. I'm so pleased about the timing.

                              There is no such thing.

If you want HD quality hold on a couple of weeks and buy the new Toshiba HD-DVD player, it is around ?370 delivered and is a proper HD player.
Cheap uscaling players are exactly that, cheap.
I would buy a progressive player as all the ones I have seen outperform the upscaling ones at twice the price.

Yesteryeargames, I'm using an Oppo on my Samsung LE32 via DVI, and the quality is stunning! It upscales to 720p, and the quality is great, especially if the DVD is mastered well.

Of course a proper HD player would be better, but as there aren't many HD DVDs to watch just yet, I'm going to give that a miss for a while.
