Originally posted by Shakey_Jake33You know, ATi's newest range of graphics cards support Component output (through the DVI-I and come with the correct adaptor)... so if worst comes to the worst, you could use it as an excuse to treat yourself to a new graphics card.

If you want HD quality hold on a couple of weeks and buy the new Toshiba HD-DVD player, it is around ?370 delivered and is a proper HD player.
Cheap uscaling players are exactly that, cheap.
I would buy a progressive player as all the ones I have seen outperform the upscaling ones at twice the price.

Yesteryeargames, I'm using an Oppo on my Samsung LE32 via DVI, and the quality is stunning! It upscales to 720p, and the quality is great, especially if the DVD is mastered well.
Of course a proper HD player would be better, but as there aren't many HD DVDs to watch just yet, I'm going to give that a miss for a while.
