I gave up playing this last night after much swearing at getting network timeout errorz and when I finally got past those I couldn't join any games for ages.

There aren't enough ranked servers up and they're the only games woth playing with randoms because they tend to behave themselves better because they want to level up.

Great game being spoiled by shoddy implementation (and the PS3's online structure / integration doesn't help either)

Is that the one that pops up before you even get to the main screen with the community options etc ? I was getting that as well - in the end I disconnected my router and just wired it straight to the modem and that cured it. No idea what was going on - been playing it wireless through the router since Friday fine.

It's the one between the extra online policy bit and logging you in to the network to recover your profile stats. Sometimes going back to the XMB fixes it, other times (like last night) I had to restart they system altogether.

I'm on a wired connection but by the sounds of it that looks like a third thing to check if it stops connecting

Speaking of that online policy bit, they need to sort that out too. Once you accepted it it's pretty bloody stupid to have to do it every time you play the game even when nothing's changed

Ranked servers have a trophy icon to the far left of it (uncrossed out).

I took it this was because they don't have a standard set of T&C's like LIVE (when you join LIVE as a member you agree to the T&C's which apply to everything except those dicks EA hence you get them with their games) i.e because each company has to host its own games their T&C's will differ. It's annoying having to accept them every time you want to play any game online !!

But why do you have to KEEP agreeing to it? Can't it store it somehow that you've accepted the T&C's?

Same with EA games, why must you continually accept it, when you already have done?

Mine's arrived from eBay, faster than expected - they must have known I'd completed TR last night and wasn't sure what to start next.

I'll sign on later and would appreciate it if someone could sort out a clan invite... this'll be the first time I've been online with the PS3.

Which brings us to my other question - what the **** is the point of the clan ? How do we play a clan match against another clan ?

I took it that was because as it's the dev or publishers own servers they can change their T&C's any time they want.

With EA games (on 360 at least) once you accept the T&C's once you don't need to do it again.
