Watched both Thor and Captain America in the last few days, thought Thor was the better, the comedy in it actually had me lolling a bit. Both these movies were better than I was expecting.

I remember the first time I saw Dazed and Confused, I knew nothing about it and I loved it from start to finish. I the film is why Sweet Emotion is my favourite Aerosmith song.

Watched Good Night and Good Luck tonight which I also loved. I love those sort of procedural films where you see something go from the start right to its conculsion. The real time footage of McCarthy and his senate hearings made the film even more gripping.

          Chalet Girl
British made "cliche" movie set on the slopes.
          Great appreciation of the mountains
          Some funny bits
Don't watch the trailer - just watch it if you like this sort of thing.

Watched David Fincher's Zodiac. It was thoroughly absorbing but also kinda boring at the same time. Love the atmos, very 70s, moody n' dark yet bland and brown to boot.

Wouldn't say it was 'great' and I wouldn't say I enjoyed it majorly but would definitely say it's worth watching. I enjoyed it more because of its 'texture' than anything else.

I love Zodiac, when I said I love procedural films a couple of posts above I was thinking about Zodiac. Saw it at the cinema and I was gripped from start to finish.

^I agree, bet this looked lush on the big screen, don't think a 24" TV can really do it justice. Visually, sort of reminded me of The Box (another film set in the 70s), very muted and brown but thick with atmosphere.

Kick-Ass - Really surprising by this. Cracking movie with some great crescendo moments.

The A-Team - As much as I dislike retreads I think they actually pulled it off. Stand out parts were Liam Neeson as ‘Hannibal’ (he was great) and I also thought the guy who played face did a cracking job - I’d be happy to watch a sequel with the same cast.

                  The Big Lebowski
                  - I think we need another film featuring ‘The Dude’.

I quite liked it too tbh. Only stand out negative for me was the guy playing B.A didn't suit the part whereas the rest of the cast did a good job.

And it has Jessica Biel in it which is always a bonus.

I like the sort of thing with Felicity Jones and Tamsin Egerton in it

                          Watched Crazy Stupid Love yesterday...

Crazy, and deffo stupid in parts.....but i loved it.

The acting is superb and its sentimental without really going too far(other than a little at the end), the film just works other than a really silly ott comedy moment towards the end which just feels out of place, it was a pleasure to watch.

Emma stone(i think her name is) is just amazing.

dunno if it really counts as a film as its only 22 min long but still lego star wars the padwan menace i thought was very entertaining

I watched "There's something about Kevin" which was absolutely chilling from start to finish. Very very good

Might watch Kevin tomorrow at the Barbican. Only ?5 a ticket on Mondays but I'd have to leg it from work to get there in time. I always get to the Barbican late, never early.
