Just watched Sumomomo momomo, god I needed to watch some funny anime badly.
Really enjoyed it, though I'm not sure quite how long the joke can stay funny... but the introduction of new characters in the forthcoming eps should make sure it keeps entertaining.
I think Sumomomo, alongside Deathnote, D. Gray-Man, Pumpkin Scissors and Ghost Hunt will be the shows I'll be keeping up with this season, unless you guys reckon there are other special shows I should be keeping up with. This is alongside Naruto, Bleach, One Piece (KF ones) and Powerpuff Girls Z anyway. A good balance there I reckon.
As for Naruto filler... no need to say it's gotten beyond a joke, of course. I'm still watching it myself mind. That said, the most recent batch of filler has been of much higher quality than the tripe we've had for most of the year, though the sooner they move back to the manga, the better. It's giving the show a much undeserved bad reputation, and I fear it's going to loose face with many people like DBZ did. Which is criminal, as just like DBZ, Naruto just doesn't deserve the critisism it gets... but at the same time, it's their own fault by milking the filler to exhaustion. The Bleach method of one long, reasonable quality filler arc was a much wiser decision than these little ones.
