Eliminate Pro now out from ngmoco.

Its an online FPS (originally titled KillTest) and it's FREE! They've got in-app purchases to make people pay to get recharge's to earn credits and build your character but basically aside from that you can play away anyway without paying a thing.

It's awesome. Feels like Unreal/Quake twitch type shooter in your pocket and my experience of playing it on Wifi/3g have been excellent. Had about one laggy match in 20.

Did I mention it was free?

You speak the truth my friend, bonkers & awesome

Eliminate pro ran like a dog on iPhone, im not normally a frame rate whore but 5fps is not really acceptable, controls were terrible too.

The iPhone needs a controller adapter if its ever going to be able to do proper games, preferably with two analogue sticks.

Is there a (free if possible) app out there that allows you remote-access a PC?

Kinda like an iphone app version of "LogMeIn"?

Also, as a newcomer who's basically downloaded the obvious ones like Sky Sports, Last.FM etc, what other essentials would you reccomend? Any good (free) twitter apps? Not interested in facebook!

          Thanks in advance!

Is it easy to jailbreak the iphone 3gs with the latest firmware?

I'm fed up of last.fm not picking up my scrobbles. Apparently if you switch the iphone off, it resets the play count. Didn't find out that till earlier.

Blackra1n makes it ridiculously easy if all you want is to Jailbreak

Mocha VNC Lite is free but good enough for most uses.

Thanks for that mate. Worked like a charm.

Now i can use this other program that remembers my scrobbles.

Is anyone playing the new champ man express game for the I-phone? Thinking about picking it up but wanted to hear a few opinions on the game first if possible.

Anyone played Spikey by Donut Games? It's free and plays similar to Peggle - very addictive.

Also, Settlers of Catan has been released on iPhone. Not got it yet, but includes computer AI and looks quite well done!

iFooty is good, as are the eBay and Amazon apps.

Big Top 40's not bad either actually... free radio app.

Not sure about Twitter apps though I'm afraid!

Paper Toss - One of those free games everyone should have.
Doodle Jump - worth every penny of its 59p pricetag.
Doom Resurrection - On rails FPS where you tilt to aim, controls brilliantly. Not sure how much it is now but i bought it at £2.99 and it's worth at least that.
Run Run Sheep - a Chu Chu Rocket clone with sheep instead of mice, i love it!
Eliminate - Free FPS that plays a bit like Quake. One of the best games on the system.
GTi Racing - The best racing game available. There's a free demo to try now too.

Boost - Hard to describe but it's a bit like playing the Wipeout zone mode around the Big Blue track of F-ZeroX in first person.

If you try GTi racing and like it then the full game Real Racing just dropped in price. Actually just buy the full game, it's excellent.
