Although it must be said I share the irk, not about cycling on children but the roads around me is so bump that my poor little Vespa can barely take it. I'm surprised it still works. Potholes everywhere. Everyone keeps digging up the road and not putting it back together again so it's so ridiculously bump it's not funny.

The only thing worse than a strong handshake is a weak, barely there handshake. I make a point of always trying to match the strength of a shake but all too often when shaking hands with young women, they literally don't put any force into it, they barely even wrap their hand around. Always makes me feel uncomfortable because I instinctively loosen my grip when I notice only to realise that if I loosened it any more, we wouldn't be shaking hands but be doing some weird palm to palm thingy. Bloody wimmen, making men do all the work when shaking hands!

I know at least one person, male, who has a such a soft weird handshake, it's hard to explain. Don't like shaking the dude's hand.

I get irked when people go to shake my hand, if I wanted physical contact with them I'd ask them on a date, but now all of a sudden you're stuck in the situation where you either have to massively snub them and they think you hate them or something or end up going with it and feeling like you've caught leprosy until you can make it to the next available washbasin. It's especially bad in that strangers seem the most prone to doing it. Oh what's that we've never met before and know nothing about each other? Well then let's just rub bare skin together, eurgh.

I get irked when people go to shake my hand.

What I hate is how many men see this as a challenge. So to appear stronger or something they squeeze your hand extra hard thus proving they are better than you. Sometimes it actually hurts. I just give a loose handshake to make the whole thing painless, but then people sometimes mock on how "wimpy" that shake was. It seems that being so boring and civilized as we are in this day and age, the strong male instincts make people need some other way to prove to themselves and the world what great, strong men they are. I find it baffling that people not realize how dumb it is to feel better about themselves after having a "victorious" handshake, but then again, I fail to understand many male ways of expression, like neon lights on cars...

Nothing too bad with a weak handshake, it's when people don't actually do any gripping at all when the handshakes become unpleasant.

Current irk: Why don't the giant energy drinks make it clear what their flavour is?

I decided to try out a can of "relentless inferno". Turns out it's orange flavour which would be fine, but it's "orange flavour" in the way you get medicines that are 'orange flavour'. It's nasty. ?1.80 down the drain (literally).
