Yeah, they need to keep a lid on this, regardless of personal feelings. The break was made, it happened, we need to live with it at least until a situation arises where the public's choice to go back would be a landslide. Anything less and you'll just have Farage back on TV wanting Brexit 2: Brussels Boogaloo in 2040.

Keir Starmer and all these "Tories with a splash of red accessories"-types need to f off. Labour's step away from protecting the rights of the working class and seeking equality for the marginalised, and general social ideals has been a disaster. Sure, old Labour may be unelectable to the masses of Tory-voting dunces, but they'd still make an effective opposition party and actually stand for something.
The idea that by becoming like the thing that you wish to replace but with a few tweaks, is bound to fail -because why vote for Labour when you can have real-deal, true blue Tory thing instead?
The founding principles of the party and it's policies have been long forgotten and I know that MPs would argue "we can't do anything, if we're not in power", but Labour spend all their time telling the public which Tory policies they won't change, if they were to get into power, than actually telling us what they will do. And if politics isn't a place for sticking to your core principles and morals, even in the face of unpopularity, then where is?
And you don't need to be working-class to hold dear those principles of the classic Labour - Tony Benn was a great example of someone from a very privileged background receiving firm support of the working-class vote and being a highly respected thinker and speaker. Along with others who have experience of actual real work, people that started at the bottom and worked their way up, without nepotism or leg-ups from their old school tie chums, like Alan Johnson, they can understand how ordinary people live and what they experience in day to day life.
I mean, what does it mean to be a Labour MP, if it just means you wear a red tie and jeer the people with blue ties? If fundamentally your policies are just like theirs, what's the point?

It may well end up not being the case but I've found myself wondering if the lack of stance and policies is a mere strategic decision.

Labour is in front but it could very easily be scuppered with so much time before a GE. The lack of clear distinction is frustrating but it also continuously blocks the Tories from creating an attack line like they had in the last few GE's. It's inevitable that Labour will need to lay out its policies at some point as the campaigning begins so I'll be curious to see if it's because they are genuinely full on Tory-lite's now or if they are holding back to go into the GE without being kneecapped by the right wing propaganda machine first.

I'd love for it to be a planned 'faint'. Deliberately nodding along with them to sow them up the river and being very grey with their own policies. But I don't think this is the case.
