As a Villa fan I am pleased with the result.

Liverpool is playing Real Madrid in March. Real Madrid is my 2nd team.

I gather it will be hard to get a ticket. But any tips for me. How much will be one ticket for hospitality package. As it is in my week off.

350-500 Euro I reckon for regular tickets if you're buying one out there. The face value for the majority of tickets in the ground is £58 & £88 afaik.

Annoying and frustrating to see the wheels slowly coming off the wagon.. At the start of the season I didn't think we'd win the league, then we were given some optimism, now we are slowly being tortured while everyone laughs at us.

We've improved massively to even be in this position, this time last year we were already 17 points off the top. I think winning the league is still do-able, I think we can afford to drop 6-8 more points and still win it, but it is looking less likely as time goes by.

We really could've done with a decent attacking player coming in during January to provide a bit of a spark to get things going a la Ronny Rosenthal in 1990. The reality is we couldn't even get together ?3.5/4m to bring in Heskey and were going to hold out until the summer for a free until Villa came in with the cash.

Meh, Sunday will give us a better idea of where we stand.

I think we also have to accept that Man Utd are on an amazing run right now - 11 clean sheets in a row I think? To still be just a few points behind despite the contrast in forms, that's pretty good.

The worry though is whether we can pull our form round - hopefully the game against Chelsea will kick-start the season again.

Great title race this year though, and big props to Aston Villa who are right in there despite having a tight squad and nowehere near as much cash.

We do? I've been pretending it's not happening.

Bit difficult when Man U have picked up about 15 points this year and we've collected three.

Being realistic, unless Man U have a lengthy bad-patch think we've blown our chance.
Terrible thing to say in January (just) I know.

                Prove me wrong lads. Please.

                  Is correct, I fear.

Is wrong. We've p1ssed away enough lead-building points already (nine draws = 18 points) this season. Surely only the absolute MOTHER of Championship-winning runs (with home wins over Chelsea, Villa and Arsenal and victory at Old Toilet included) will be enough to deny Man-ure now?

We are now actually looking over our shoulders to make sure we stay in the top four, never mind win the league, no?

Just be happy that you lot are still in with a shout. I mean c'mon, you lot are normally out of it at this stage of the season, no?

Liverpool will win nothing this year. When will people wake up , Rafa Benitez hasn't the 1st clue

Just think, you lot were 7 points clear of us before the Loofa opened his mouth. A few weeks later and you're 2 points behind us and we have a game in hand.

                          And that's a fact.

You did have two (I think) games in hand though.

You've really hit your stride just as we've tried to set a Premier League record for league draws in a row

You've even passed us on goal difference considerably now also. Christ we do make life hard for ourselves.

Hats off to Villa for their climb up the table though. Arsenal fans must be worried they could be without CL action next year.

Yeah, 'cos nothing screams Rafa's lack of knowledge like 2 La Ligas in 3 years, 1 UEFA Cup, 1 FA Cup & 2 Champions' League finals in 3 years, winning 1.

Looks like you're the one without the 1st clue, Andromeda.

Man U will NOT win every single game from now until the end of the season. That is fact.

Liverpool just simply have to beat united on their patch and then hope to better uniteds results by 2 points. It sounds easy I know, but people writing off any team within 7 points or so of the top team are stupid.

Of course its more difficult to come from behind to win the Premier League but I'd rather be where we are now than where we have been the last couple of seasons.

And before some idiot jumps in, I'm not saying Liverpool will win the league. I'm just stating this show aint over by a long way. If Chelsea ever find that gear they've shown they have in recent years they could very well mount a decent challenge.
