My little lad is just recovering from a bout of pneumonia and today we got a lovely visit!

Kenny also visited and was really nice. Clearly, it made my day more than anyone elses!

Lucky bastard, I gotta find a way of getting my kids ill and transferred up to Liverpool in the faint hope they come visit too.

Good luck with that, mate. It's an annual thing I think. Xmas visit. I got lucky with the group in our ward. Lucky we didn't get the Doni, Spearing, Wilson and Shelvey visit

Why can't we beat these so called weaker out of form teams? So annoying and frustrating. What a waste of time.

Love Bellas. Get him on all those set pieces in the future. I hope, if Gerrard stays fit, that he can come in instead of Adam. 31 and still looks amazing. If Giggs can still turn it on at 38, then we can still have some more great Stevie years ahead, IF he can have lucky and long injury free periods.

Time for a change? Too many poor results and no sign of improvement despite spending loads of money.

                Kenny out?

I'm not going in as far to say to get Kenny out but something is clearly not working. Before the match yesterday a lot of pundits looked at the team sheet and said it looked good. Bellamy playing, brought maxi back in.
I honestly don't see much of difference when hogdson was there.
I also thought it was odd that he criticized the players in the way he did.

                  Another season in obscurity.

I was a bit whupped last night, but I'm sure I saw a stat that was something like:

                    Granny Hodgson: P31, Won 13, Lost 9
                    King Kenny: P32, Won 15, Lost 9

Is that correct? If it is, that money hasn't been particularly well spent. Maybe with patience the team he's assembled will develop nicely, but after his comments last night, the manager seems to think that prerequisites like effort and commitment aren't even up to scratch.

I find it ironic after how badly Hodgson was treated by a lot of fans I know that Kenny is no better.

That is so awesome though Hoolak. Lovely present for you and the little one.

The performance was abject last night. Bolton were first to every ball and wanted the ball a lot more than the Liverpool players. The entire team was anonymous. Dalglish was perfectly correct to question the players' desire.

So, on to the individual players. The central midfield pairing of Adam and Gerrard didn't work. For the first goal they were both vacant when Davies tore through the middle of the pitch, a holding player was required. Injury dictates that both players most suited to the role aren't available though. Gerrard was puffing from about the 50th minute I think, I hope he gets back to a level where he was at before the injuries but he didn't influence the game at all.

Carroll is atrocious, he looks so cumbersome. Its almost as though he has given up on trying to learn how to play a different style of football. He would do brilliantly at a club who crash long balls in from all sections of the pitch but that just isn't what Dalglish is trying to do at the club.

Enrique has gone off the boil spectacularly the last couple of weeks.

Ironic? Having quickly checked Wikipedia, Hodgson had 31 games in charge and won 31 which is around 42%. Dalglish has 51 games and 26 wins, which is 51%. More wins under Dalglish. The figure above is probably league results. League position is very different at this time of year compared with last, however.

Hodgson had the Europa League games under his belt. Those were notoriously easy. Proper dissection of the stats is something I dont have time for but would be a lot more helpful than blanket statements.

Don't think I can go along with this, as much as this current line of thought is doing the rounds.

As Adrock states, I'm pretty sure that Woy's record is padded out with Europa League games, no? We only won once away from Anfield in the league under him (Bolton @ The Reebok last season?).

That said, Kenny and Comolli seem to have spent/brought pretty poorly. Jos? Enrique & Su?rez aside, the rest have ranged from average to very poor, despite huge sums spent. On the filpside, we are 90 minutes away from a 1st Cup Final appearance since '06. I actually think that winning the League (and/or FA) Cup might help to take the pressure off the players to secure European Football (okay, it'd be Europa League and not Champions' League) via the PL.
