I finished this at last a few days ago. My initial feelings about the game, that it was solid and well done, but ugly and unoriginal remained until the end. There were moments of brilliance, and I loved most of the character designs, but it never surprised me once.

It was also overly long, with too many dungeons and a mostly incoherent and frankly boring storyline, which reeked of a game which had been extended way beyond it's original intended length due to extra development time. It was also so easy as to be rather comedic - none of the boss battles was even slightly challenging... I don't know if this is Nintendo trying to make it nice and easy for casual players, but it did render the bosses pretty pointless.

I don't get the adoration this game has been getting. It's a really solid game, excellent even, but just so by the numbers I really expected more. Wind Waker was way better, as was Minish Cap and Four Swords. I hope the true Wii Zelda dares to be brave again and does something truly new and unique.

All that said, I'd snap up a Midna figure to sit on my desk, both before and after versions. And Ganondorf and Zant too. Excellent designs. Too bad the backgrounds were so consistently poor.

See? Best Repeat Ever. There's something wrong with Twilght. We all know it but it feel's like blasphemy to say so.

Not really. I also think the game lacks 'magic' if you can quantify such a thing. Towards the end I was wishing it would hurry up so I could finish it and move on to other games. I think somebody pointed out that although the game is vast, there isn't much to do aside from the main quest as Hyrule field is pretty barren and the

        Cave of Ordeals

is rather pointless as to finish it requires all of the itmes which will take until the end of the game to get anyway.

It's almost as though NCL ticked all the boxes but forgot to add the special sauce that's need for Zelda games. I did enjoy the game and think that the controls worked well (no way back for joypads) but it didn't live up to my expectations in the end.

I've lost my shield. Where do I get a replacement?
          Kept you waiting, huh?

The wooden shields? You can get a new one in the shop in Kakariko Village.

Yeah you're right, it isn't ****ing long enough. Finishing it has made me sad

No game is flawless, if you don't think this is the best game of 06 then there's something wrong with you, not the game(imo of course ).

I started playing this yesterday on the cube (Haven't read this thread to avoid spoilers) and got to Links wolf form.
So far, it's all great, some amazing graphics, the animation of the few bad guys I've fought have been brilliant. Epona feels similar, so that's nice.

                "Goat In".

                Lol.

I really am loving this game, at the last bit now, and I feel it is truly a great peice of software, I found some of the dungeon puzzles a bit tricky, nothing too hard but there was afew mindbender's thrown in there that once you figured them out you were like WTF???How did i miss that??

Truly great stuff, though I feel Aonuma has had his time with the series, it need's a fresh approach now, His first game in the series was really fresh, majora no Kamen, and he possibly has peaked as I consider this and wind waker a game in one, as wind waker was like half a game.

Now we need someone else to really shake the series up, maybe with a little magic by Miyamoto at the end, hehe.

I'm loving this more and more. I haven't even got to the second dungeon yet, I've just done the tear drop collecting thingy in Kakariko.
The music that plays in the twilight world sounds very similar to the Silent Hill 2 sound track, anyone else noticed that?
Gives the game a very spooky feeling.

i'm just doing the second dungeon today...some clever little bits in it so far. had a bit of an explore before going in, but the rest of the world all seems closed off at the moment.

what the deal with this occoco(?) weird birdy thing?
i just used it to exit the dungeun, so when i use it again i'll go straight back where i was i think...but can i pick it up and use it again, or is it a one use only thing?

the first dungeon took longer than i wanted to spend, so if i can break the others up a bit using that it would be great.

I finally managed to put some time into this, about to start my journey through the second dungeon after almost 8hrs of game time (think I have been exploring and messing around too much)

Regarding the music, I think the tune that plays in the arena after you defeat a boss, sounds like the music from the water level in M64.

Finally completed this about 10 mins ago after putting in 61hrs of play time since I got my US Wii at the beginning of December.

What can I say? A truly fantastic, epic game.

Finished it with 18 hearts, 21 bugs and 43 poes so there's still a little bit of finishing off to do.

Looking forward to getting stuck into LTTP on the virtual console now

I'm just at the Goron mines now, about to have a sumo fight with the big cheese!
I loved the little jousting quest before it, great fun and a lovely little set piece.
A wonderful game, I'm surrised that I'm only really at the beginning of the adventure too, so lots more to come!
