BTW, today I've learned that two 20-ish (me 23 and the other 24) Nu players spam d-swords like crazy, I had a good laugh when we spammed four time the same attack, each at the other side of the screen, without hitting each other. In the end I prevailed thanks to my knowledge of d-swords combo, he could link only two. But seriously, it's a match hilarious to watch. I have the replay of course
Also won a single round against a lvl 52 Taokaka, he got angry at me and he beat me down after that ;_; Replay'ed that too.Last edited by briareos_kerensky; 03-08-2009, 08:15.

Why am i so **** at fighting games, i dunno if i just dont have the right mind for it, although as a kid (talking mega drive here) growing up, i never played them, never played mortal kombat, sf etc ever, so maybe its just experiance, well either way i hate it *sobs (but mainly RAGE)*Last edited by Largo; 05-08-2009, 16:45.

Missed you yet again tonight mate, as I was going through Uncharted I had turned notifications off.
Are you still using Ragna the most? Have you got any of his longer combos memorised? I think they may be the key to turning things around... at least whenever I lose to a Ragna (which happens a lot) it's because they always get me caught in reaalllly long combos

i gave up on ragna and tried hakumen and really enjoyed it, got far into score attack, then i went back to jin, who am i kidding im noob jin all the way
i cant do any air stuff, or rather, ground to air transitions, the strat dvd just shows a diagonal arrow input after the ground combo, but realistically i cant get it to happenLast edited by Largo; 05-08-2009, 18:06.

Does anyone else find that (while playing Nu) that the D-sword sound is rather satisfying?
BTW, PS3 or X360?
Reached 100 ranked matches today! Just for some self-esteem I discovered that I'm ranked 850+- in the Nu list
And I cannot rant enough against ragequitters.

I am still loving this lots. Now have completed 150 ranked matches and am level 38 - found a couple of 60+ types that seemed to have no idea what they were doing which definitely helped on that front.
Anyone else thinking about entering SVB: http://www.supervsbattle.com ?
I am giving it thought but it's a lot of wonga and I've no idea what the London Blazblue scene is like right now...

i guarantee there will be people at that tournement who could rip our assholes in half (might visit tho, get me out and about for a bit etc)
hey b_K i just watched the replays of our games, they dont look quite as impressive as i remember the actual game being hehe
these games **** online with international lag etc, all that training mode stuff goes to pot
i couldnt care less about rage quitters this game makes me rage, i hate pricks who taunt even when you are taking a gracious beating
******************************
You know sitting thinking about it, hmm...i wonder why i get so riled up, i suppose i feel like im letting myself down being so useless, or angry that i cant perform the correct motion at the correct time. I thought about this a little more and realised that actualy theres quite a bit of psychology involved. In a standard fps or what not, you can be a nameless soldier, only appearing briefly at the top of your opponents screen when he gets that kill, then disappearing, chances are that back and forth will be traded quite often, you can be just a alias in a game.
But with beat um ups, you fight on a 1on1 stage against just 1 person, everything is "eyes on you" so to speak. Any mistake or apparent lack of ability is wide open for people to see and potentialy poke fun at.
I guess i always feel im getting judged like that, hmm interesting, guess i got to work on that
(in be 4 "and knowing is half the battle" *cheesy grin at camera*)Last edited by Largo; 06-08-2009, 00:28.

It took me about 100 or so matches to shake the nerves off when playing online. I think being able to look at the match calmly instead of just mad panic made a big difference - after that my win % started creeping up. I started out as low as 19% but last I checked it was just short of 50%. I haven't played for a good few days now though so I'm worried about jumping in again lol

I'm still flu'd up and feeling ****ty but I'm gonna try to play this evening (that would be tomorrow morning/afternoon for you?). After that my girlfriend has about five or six days off work so it'll be a while before I'm on again :/
edit - just saw from the time on this post that it's already nearly 5am for you guys.. anyway I've got notifications on and will most likely be mucking around with it at some point today.

hey b_K i just watched the replays of our games, they dont look quite as impressive as i remember the actual game being heheWe had a few lagging moments yesterday but it was fine, mostly. I don't understand why I find more lag on Ital-UK matches than Italy-US (even Japan?), matches later that evening were lag free except for the match opening.

Well, most human players tend to jump right at the start...
