Bah, stock levels are apparently still too low so they aren't accepting returns. (Game)

Oh teh noes!!!!!!
I called MS and gave details of problem, they said they'd have to take the console WITH hard drive and I'll probably lose all my saves!!!!!
60 hours of oblivion down the drain
First half of NFS:MW down the drain
Most of GRAW down the drain
Most of PGR3 down the drain
First third of Cod2 Vet down the drain
95% of Full Auto down the drain
*cry*
At least the gamescore records that I have, in fact, completed Blazing Angels 100%

i'm onto my 2nd 360, launch one died back in Jan, kept on completely freezing and occasionally 3 red lights would appear, now my replacement one has died- 117 hours of Oblivion down the drain.
It does seem to be the most unreliable console I have ever bought- admittedly I've never put 117 hours into a game before- complete pain in the backside- luckily I got a new super powered PC at the weekend back to Half Life 2 for me

Just had my first ever crash while playing Oblivion. It froze on a loading screen. I think it was because I was connected to Live, this is the first time I have been on Live since moving house a month ago. Still one crash since launch isn't too bad, especially compared to the problems some people are having.

I've had nothing more than a few Crashes on my machine.
Ridge 6 whilst looking at a gamer card, and another instance of it not going back to the lobby after a race - but that was a software issue!
PGR - again looking at a gamer card, which I put down to software
Oblivion - Random crash.
That's pretty much it, and my machine is a launch model!
I did have my share of probs though when my HDD was funny and needed replacing and my power supply died on me too!

Well as with my first post a few up, I called MS on Saturday to explain the problem (see: avatar), they said they'd send an email out by Tuesday morning with details to arrange collection...fine.
Today I still hadn't received an email, so when I got home from work I called them up, quoted them my reference number:
"this call has been closed down Sir".
What?
"You have called to say this has been resolved"
Uhhh, no.
"you must have called to say it was fixed, how else would they know it is fixed?"
Umm, it isn't, I'm still waiting on you. The 360 still doesn't work
"Oh right, so why did you ask to close the call?"
!!!!!
Muh, support staff suck
I think someone must have quoted the wrong number and asked the call to be closed down, which is daft. They don't ask for any details to confirm it is the right call - you could just phone up and spout random numbers (so long as they have the correct prefix and number of digits) and selectively close, open and ruin other people's calls! Great stuff.
So rather than point out how stupid they were, I logged a new call and hopefully I'll get a replacement sometime next week in time for the E3 goodies. This guy said there wasn't any point in sending the HDD as it clearly wasn't the issue, so that's one good thing.
