With regards to FFXI, I think like Rare, I'm ready to call it a day. Abyssea is awesome, but it's come so late that you have to wonder why they bothered. Now the XIV Beta can be played at any time of the day, there seems little point of trying to balance both games. Once the Quests/Missions are done, I'll be happy.

After killing all 3 Abyssea final bosses, and finishing my trial club with the secret society, Questioning the point with the time that's left.

Rep with regards to the Abyssea bosses, did you guys do anything special to get the NMs to drop the pop key items?

The person who claims the NM ends up with the pop item I think, something odd like that. The large chests also contain pop items for the mega bosses, can't remember which colour abyssite that is, I think Amber which is elemental weapon skill kills at caps at around 15.

Have Excenmille run in and aggro everything, open with ES+Sleepga II, Rare pull away the pet and hold it. Everyone else support Excenmillie.

Amazingly can be soloed by WHM/BLM, support npcs, have Nooblet kite same as in Howl from the Heavens.

Another tricky one, the largest quest of them all. Kill 4 imps, basic stuff. Next a pop NM, has a sight Terror move, Tobal stand behind it. For the BC 1st part of the fight, have the SMN Perfect dodge at the start and zerg. Second part has an AoE draw in move which causes 800dmg and Doom, everyone needs to wear the Santus Rosary from the last quest to avoid doom. Buy meds, wings etc for this one, don't be cheap.

First half is a quest. Nooblet pull the elementals and take them to the highest point of the BC, constantly keep them away from main NM. Tobal used Ranged attack and only run in on NM to weaponskill, Rare tank. Without the Elementals, Astral Flow isn't possible.

Thought that was a bit early but I just realised it’s actually been two months since the last update and the next is scheduled for mid-September so, yeah, it’s about right for news to start filtering out now.

Pretty much the last chance that my FFXI account stays open this update. Originally my plan was always to have both XI and XIV running and dip into both depending on mood. But if NIN remains ****ed after September’s update I’ll just sack it off and focus purely on starting XIV from scratch.

I can be around on Sunday but still need to do the prep on all 3 nation quest lines so pick a nation and I’ll get that sorted for Sunday.

We are pleased to announce that our development team is hard at work on the new FINAL FANTASY XI version update, currently on schedule for an early September release.

This update will usher in the next stage of the level cap increase, as well as the first half of what promises to be a thrilling conclusion to the epic Wings of the Goddess missions.

Players can also look forward to refinements to the Walk of Echoes, additional trials and enhancements for Trial of the Magians, job adjustments, and much more.

Interesting side note, ps3 beta is coming this month, bit of luck and the game will be on both platforms by year's end! I can but hope.

Not happy about that either, they'll have dragged WotG out for over 3 years by the 2nd half of the mission update? Actually was hoping to call it a day next month too.
