Ok, just seen the post match interview with Roy and... he really has lost the plot hasn't he?

Even if it?s short term I?d like to see Rafa return. There?s no doubt in my mind he could steer Liverpool back to where they should be.

        Questioning the support is madness.
Even his most ardent supporters have got to admit that it is time to call it a day now.

I noticed the Sky morons were still trying to pin the blame on Rafa last night, but even they can't go down that path forever.

There is one tiny positive from all the spurious nonsense Woy spouted last night, that was that he acknowleged Agger is part of his best starting 11. Maybe he isn't as mad as I thought he was.

Still, I dont think Woy has much of a future at the club, he has begun to suggest he still has support from the squad. All it takes is somebody disgruntled to 'leak' disquiet within the camp and he'll be finished. The fans wont take too kindly to being told they aren't supporting him.

Benitez short term wouldn't work. The superstars dont like him afaik, that being Gerrard, Carragher and Torres. Torres I'm not 100% on but the other two for sure. It'd have to be an appointment with a view to the fact the disgruntled players of the past must be removed and Benitez allowed to carry on what he started. Sadly that'll never happen.

Hopefully anyone in the squad who thought they knew more than the manager last season has been brought down to earth with a thud.

Gerrard was awful in the middle last night...again.

I take it that by "quality", you actually mean "excruciatingly embarrassing", no?

God, I'm actually starting to forget when our club wasn't a complete laughing stock.

I keep hearing the same crap being regurgitated over and over (and I know I?m preaching to the choir on this but I need to rant after reading so much nonsense):

?Rafa wasted money and made bad signings?

His net spend was 8m a year. He signed Reina, Alonso, Torres, Agger, Mascherano, Garcia (who was pretty much invaluable in the Champions League) Kuyt, Benayoun, and some quality temp players who came in, did a job for a season and left - I actually really liked this approach as it kept everyone on their toes. He made a number of disappointing signings (the majority on a free) - name a manager that hasn?t.

                    ?Rafa's an average manager?

He?s won ten trophies including the champions league, La Liga twice, the FA cup and the UEFA cup. How the hell is that average?

?He left Liverpool with a crap squad?

Rafa stated that after Liverpool finished second Hicks sacked pretty much everyone behind the scenes and brought in a new managing director who hand picked 9 players. The only way he could spend was through money generated by sales and then some of those signings weren?t even his - so there was a nice downward spiral of players being signed in positions that weren?t needed. Undoubtedly he made a number of poor signings as well, but for the press to completely blame Rafa for Liverpool?s current predicament while ignoring Hicks is disgusting.

                    Also, Rafa?s League finishes:

                    09/10: 7
                    08/09: 2
                    07/08: 4
                    06/07: 3
                    05/06: 3
                    04/05: 5

Very tidy record if you scratch last season when Hicks nearly destroyed the club.

OMG! I was cringing at that. He came out to apologise then seeming said the same thing again! What a complete tool.

Guardian are reporting that if the right man is available then Woy will be removed.

All we gotta hope this time is that its a manager who can work with the current squad and play a game that suits the style of player the club has. I hope to god there is someone available, anyone.

You ranting about the winning goal? It wasn't offside since it came off the defender. As well as quite clearly playing a lot better than Bolton did for most of the game. End of.
