    What a goal!

Certainly was, are you watching how it's done Arsene ?

Wow, Liverpool are running the show. Crouch is on great form.

What a great performance! I thought we were OK against Arsenal; some nice touches but never really pushed the game. Tonight was far better. Even though we were playing one of the "weaker" teams left, it was still a dominating performance. I was worried after we got the first goal that we would sit back and try and hold the lead, but we kept at them all the game. I thought Finnan and Mascherano were excellent. Gutted about Aurelio's injury though.

I don't think I've seen such a one-sided match in the later stages of the CL for ages. I hope we don't put a weakened side out at Anfield. I would like to get a goal or two at home to kill off the tie, but I'm quietly confident now.

          Now, come on Valencia!

Wow, PSV did not look arsed about winning/losing this game tonight. Another great performance from the redmen again. Shame about Fabio. Hope he mends swiftly. Now come on Roma

              Valencia in the next round

I dont really mind playing either Chelsea or Valencia in the next round, but the thought of playing Man U in the final is far too risky (looking too far ahead I know) I'd love it if we beat them, but if it went the other way... oooh and I bet this is felt vice versa. It would be the ultimate middle finger to the opposition.

I was thinking the same, in that if we did make the final and so did mancs I'd commit suicide if we lost for sure.
Which brings to memory, the 1996 FA Cup final between us and them, we lost in the last 5 minutes to a Cantona strike just by the box and I was heart broken for weeks and weeks after. I still have a mental scare due to that day and hope it never returns...

Liverpool were magnificent last night, and I say that as someone who hates Liverpool and if anything has a Chelsea bias. Crouchie's comeback from injury makes you wonder whether England would have struggled as badly as they did had he been available.

Coming from a united fan I feel the same as you and super goal I dont want liverpool in the final because as you have both said to lose would be heartbreaking losing would be bad enough but losing to your worst rivals would be horrible.

Good result today, even if we left it late, and thanks to West Ham for beating Arsenal, third is looking more and more like ours

Yeah good result indeed for both Liverpool and WHam Reading gave us a bloody good game there.

Sissoko had a total mare. Gave the ball away so many times. Overall we didn't play well but won

To be honest I hope we get rid of Sissoko in the summer, but still say "he's great" in the meantime, so we can get good money for him. He can tackle, but that's it. I reckon Mascherano can do his job better.... hmm maybe even Alsonso's as well. Yeah sell Momo and Alonso and get Eto'o or Villa.

Sissoko is still only young (just turned 22) so he's certainly not a player we should be getting rid of considering he can only get better. He's an important type of player that is needed for certain types of games. Put it this way, we wouldn't have lost 3 times to Arsenal this season had we had a defensive midfielder on the pitch in those games. Mascherano is better and should be playing over Sissoko but if we sold him and ascherano gets injured we'd be a soft touch through the center.
