That part was horrible with the AI, but I decided to go up myself and kept Sheva on the ground. That way it wasn't that hard, most enemies spawn on the upper level and I am smarter than the AI.

See, I couldn't do it with me going up there, I sent her because she was too stupid to shoot them off the wall.

I took her sniper rifle and picked them off

Apparantly, Sheva is pretty competant if you give her the sniper, machine gun and set her to attack. Other good stats is giving her a weapon with infinte ammo so you don't have to worry about ammo.

I'm actually really enjoying this, even though it doesn't really feel like a Resident Evil game anymore...

Now that you both need to share ammo in Resi' 5 it's become frustrating, as in the previous games I just horded it all and that was the play style. So now I need to distribute it evenly I've found that instead of both having a pistol or the same weapon, just make sure Sheva and you have independent weapons avoiding competition over the ammo. Now I can horde as much as I want.

It only works in single player though, not sure how a co-op partner would like it...

The bit where you and Sheva split up and there are about 100 lickers that appear, she must have died about 5 times before i did it, if the game forces you to split up then the A.I. partner shouldnt be able to go and get herself killed.

And then there is the part where

youre on that spinning lift and enemies keep appearing and slowing the lift down, you have to shoot them but its virtualy impossible to aim at them becuase the lift is still spinning.

oh and of course theres the bit where the game goes all Metal Gear Matrix and features a 7 minute long boss fight that requires you do do absloubtley nothing but run about like a fool and hide from

                Ninja Wesker

and then another boss fight after that which is basicaly a series of button bashing moments.

What the hell were they thinking?
That all seems a little harsh. Firstly, a 100 lickers is a somewhat large exaggeration even if you are this frustrated. Sure I died 5 times myself but I was figuring out what combo worked best, be it myself going up top to the choice of weapons I would use in order to hook up with Shiva again.

The game allows you to swap weapons after you die, why didn't you switch to a sniper rifle or let Shiva pick them off on the lift? No ammo? Get an upgrade!

That 7 minute boss fight you were talking about? There's more to do than run buddy!

As far as I know, both street fighter 4 and resident evil 5 are region free everywhere.

This is a real pain in the ass IMO, not so much in the single player game but when you play co-op. Say you play on your own for a bit, then someone joins in with you for a bit. They pick up ammo as they play, and when they leave it goes with them. You end up having to give Sheva some ammo / health etc just to get started so it's effectively like every time you change play styles, you're losing half the ammo you ought to have had at that stage.

It's breaking the game for me since I'd rather play through it alone at least once so this isn't such an issue, but there are so many sections obviously designed for co-op play that are a real ass-ache to do with the AI.

Call me crazy but I'm finding Resident evil 5 to be much closer to the old Resident evils than 4 ever was!! There's more of a story this time round, more characters from the older games, returning
from older games, limited inventory space, finding weapons about, etc

This is easily better than Resident evil 4 for me (one of the best games of all time for me)

It easily beats 4 when it comes to story, graphics (duh), unlockables

(boy do i wish every gun could have infinite ammo in RE4)

, Mercenries. Plus Wesker is way cooler than Saddler, and Chris> Leon

If i was going Character Design wise, Chris isn't a patch on Leon. The new Chris has got to be one of the most ugly deformed character re-imagination of all time.

The 7 minute boss fight im refering too is the

one with wesker at the end of chapter 5, he says at the start "i'll give you 7 minutes" or somthing daft, then you are told to hide from him until he gets bored, which he did after 7 minutes, there is norhing more too it that you running away from him, and hes not even that hard to avoid.

As for me being harsh, I thought i was being kind to be honest, i could have gone on about if you wait on the ground its relaly hard to snipe the lickers becuase most of the time you cant even see them as they chase her, or if you take the high route yourself a few of them climb down and kill her anyway, which wouldnt happen if the game was mwell made becuase she shouldnt be able to die if you cant get near her to revive her. The game is just a rushed wreck.

That section is largely running about but there is... something tiny and small additional to do during it. In coop its a breeze of a game but if you start in coop then you have to go throughout in coop as has been mentioned due to all the ammo nicking that goes on. That's only a pain when you can't get a decent player online and so end up not being able to progress.

For anyone a little annoyed with the item selection being awkward in the heat of the moment heres a little tip.

Up, down, left & right in the item selection all correspond to the d-pad. So you can have 3 weapons and a health spray all with hot swappable buttons for example. Makes combat much easier in my opinion.

Have to say, i really love this game in co-op, its was a complete joy from beginning to end
