Yeah, what Bassman said. I really struggled until I managed to open that level up, then the levels just keep coming. As long as you don't create too high a level enemy at first, you'll leap levels in no time.

A level 300 statitician is highly recommended. If you go through item world enough, you'll pick up a few Gency exits. Then find an item with a stat bloke in, kill him, then Gency out. You'll get at least a level 100 in no time.

That attack on Laharl is pretty good. How many Gladiators have you added?

My Lvl 9999 Surt has about 3,200,000 HP. My Mage now has 3 Super Robo Suits at Lvl 100 and a Lvl 100 Omniscient Staff and is good for a 2500K hit. I need more Teachers for her.

Baal was fairly easy. I trust you got the Super Robo Suit OK? I have beaten a Lvl 9999 Prinny Baal (when enemy strength was up). That was before the Mage was anywhere near her current hit level though so it took a while. I have two levelled up Yo****sunas so far. I am at about 460 Hours!! Now that is a game that is Value for Money to say the least!!

I'm at about 30 hours in. I'm at Episode 11 and lvl 50. This game is woryingly addictive.

I've elected to go through the game, play it loads and unlock everything then I'll power level and stuff.

So far it's been pretty easy, no real troubles... although the last mid-boss fight was a bit close.

I do have a question though, if I want to unlock a Thief, do I need to only have a Brawler and a Warrior at lvl 10, or do I have to do some other stuff. Do they both have to be the same mentor or something?

Oh, and how the **** do I bribe the basts in congress? I can't see how! AT ALL!?!

For unlocking new classes, just make sure you have the classes that you need exist at the same time, then it will unlock the new class. after that, you can get rid of the previous classes if you wish. So just get a brawler and warrior, level them both up until lvl10 or over, then the thief will magically appear in the create character screen.

As for bribing to a maximum effect, you need items of a certain rarity, that's determined at random. The best thing to do is to either have a wide range of items with different rarities and hope you can bribe the highest level senator, or try and get items that are close to each other in terms of rarity and keep on proposing and resetting until you get a chance where they all crave your items.

I'm sure somebody can explain it better, but i hope this helps somewhat

You bribe by going to the Assembly and before pressing the button for a vote, scroll around the room. As you highlight people you can see how they will vote. Make sure you have bough loads of cheap stuff to fill the Item Bag (I ususally went for cheap restorative items such as Fairly Dust and the like). When you click on the member (can't remember the exact sequence). Anyway, having brought up the Item Bag each item will have a desription against it for the character you have highligted. "Must Have!" is the best as it will soon change the voting for that character. The lowest I would go would be "Slightly interested". Don't bother about the members that "Loathe" you. Work on the easy ones first... those that are inclined to go for "Yes" (can't remember the exact wording). Get as many "In favour" as you can. Press Triangle to bring up the option to start voting.

Just because you have the majority of the members present does not mean the bill will be passed as they all have block votes. Always Save before going to the Assembly for a Vote so that for an "expensive" vote that failed you can always reload!!

Well, I finally started on this properly last night... and three hours of my life went by in the blink of an eye - This truly is one addictive little game.

I even put in some time this morning before going into work!!

Nice to have your arse completely handed to you on a plate too - I tried going into the Item world without realising you have to go to the tenth level to exit...

The single thing annoying me the most is the damned curser falling off the tiles the characters can walk on. Dunno whether this will approach becoming bearable over time.

Anyway, off to get that slightly camp French-a-like man on level one tomorrow.

PS How big should my party be at this stage of the game? I've got enough mana for a small army, but is that the point of the game?

the most characters you can have out on a map is TEN, so i wouldnt bother making an army any bigger... once your further into the game it becomes much easier to power up new characters, so once you find you need characters with other abilities you can make these then, as any unnessecery powering up seems wasted early on

With the item world, once you get to chapter 3, you get given a Mr Gency's Exit, these allow you to exit the item world on any floor, bu you won't recieve any til this point.

Can you get more than one Mr Gency? I don't want to waste it so I've not used it incase I REALLY need it.

The item world is REALLY important. I was going to buy a new sword, but I couldn't be arsed to pass a law for more expensive weapons, so I simply decided to try the item world. The sword for 50% stronger after 10 levels. from 200ATK to 300ATK. Brilliant. Got levels and saved money too. Yey.

That was a nice wake up call. I really like this game... I've been waiting a long time got a game to link with me this much. FFTA did the same but before that... I can't remember.

Gencies are typical items, so you can certainly grab more than one. but just remember that you can only obtain them by clearing the 'boss' levels in an item (10th floor, 20th floor, 30th floor and so on basically), so unless you can clear 10 levels in an item without exiting use them sparingly. saying that, you can always go and get gencies by blitzing floors in a piece of gum.

Oh, and for future reference, the dark assembly are REALLY happy to pass some laws, such as more expensive items, and weaker enemies. guess it's their nature to strip you of your cash and have weak opponents.

You get a Mr Gency's Exit for clearing every tenth floor in Item World and exiting through the warp panel. One for clearing floor ten, one for floor twenty, one for floor thirty and so on. As far as I can remember, you can get these before you're given one as a free gift in Chapter 3.

                              <edit> Too slow!
