Totally agree, N'Gog has been quietly impressive, he's already got a decent goals tally so far this season. I'm sure Rafa will stick with him, he already prefers to pick him over Kuyt, Babel and Voronin up front

His goal tally last year was good, v close to Tevez anyway. He is good on the ball, and holds it up well. He was good last season and was always expecting something more from him - looks a learner which is what Rafa needs. Rafa does not handle egos that well and his system relies on people working for the team. That is why Babel struggles, his team work (running off the ball etc) is terrible. Pennant and Keane were the same (never taking Rafa's instructions and ruining the teamwork for a few positions either side). For all Gerrard's words about here he prefers to play, he has always done what Rafa told him to in terms of position and that is why he had his best ever season playing out of his preferred position but in Rafa's preferred one.

Every game I have seen this season, we get worse and worse over time, tired and then bereft of ideas with noone good to come off the bench.
It would have made no difference but cannot understand what Rafa did with Aquilani yesterday.

          Has Rafa lost it then?

            Lost what?

We've gone into this season with a weaker first team than last year, had no money to spend outside of what was raised through player sales to change that and have already had major injury problems that you just cannot plan for.

In terms of spending power we are now someway behind all of our major rivals, until that changes anything more than 4th in the league would now be a case of punching above our weight imo. Not the situation Liverpool FC should be in...but that's the reality.

Still you can't argue there's been more than a few dodgy decisions by the manager. The first team wasn't so weak at the beginning but we didn't get off to a good start losing 2 of the first few games. The team has been awful from the very first pre-season game.

The only really strange football decision is getting rid of zonal marking at set pieces. The current system is like a weird mix of zonal and man-to-man. Cost us a fair few goals already...can't understand why we no longer mark the 'zone' by either post.

Ngog really has done well lately. Fair play to the lad. I am not so sure about the confidence for 4th spot. While I think Liverpool have the advantage of recent history I am not sure they have the squad. They are there for the taking IMO, just wether City or Spurs can do it.

                      Harsh. But fair.

Can't believe we've managed to stay seventh, could have easily dropped to ninth or tenth after today's games. Good to see we're not the only ones dropping points left right and centre. Up until today thought we'd let in more goals than Portsmouth ouch, didn't realise that until this morning

Yeh, good results for Liverpool today. A big incentive (if any were needed) to get a win in the derby tomorrow.

That is brilliant, lol!. Hate to see our season in dissaray like this, hopefully it will drive the asking price of the club down and we can get rid of at leat one of the owners.

Results have gone your way today. 'Just' have to win tommorrow to take advantage of it.

Good weekend for Liverpool. However they weren't great (except for Reina), Everton should've taken advantage of their possession and Liverpool's first goal had a fair amount of luck.

Still, a win's a win, now that they've a confidence boost I'd expect the form to start returning.
