Boy you will be disapointed. If like me, you expect a Resident Evil game to actually be like, i dont know, a Resident Evil game, and are just playing through the old classics, be prepared to be let down. I have yet to get into any story yet as im like on chapter 1-3, but unless it gets interesting, i will be so upset.

I got a question about this game online, lets say that in single player ive unlocked the longbow for sheva, 50k to buy it and the money to upgrade the rifle in the first place, anyhow if someobody then joins my game, can they just choose to drop it as a joke? If that happens am i screwed or is that why that "do you want to save equipment data" comes into play?

i do sort of like the game, and have no problems with the controls , but i do have a problem with the game feeling and looking like tomb raider or unchartered, its a good action game, but it just dosent feel like resident evil to me, that was the cube remake of resident evil thats was what it was about, this has just changed to much for my liking, and theres no dark scary bits so far.

I got up to the first boss before my PS3 broke. Only had one stab at it but it's obvious what you need to do but the camera makes it more difficult because it can't cope with the tight spaces, Sheva wastes all her ammo and is too slow reacting to you so you can lure the boss to where you want it.

That said, it was more fun than I initially thought from my early impressions. But yeah, it's a violent action game, not a horror. RE4 still got away with being called a horror because of the atmosphere (and the regenerators). It's hard to be menaced when you're a big burly soldier, in the bright sun, with a partner to help you out.

Enjoying it but depressingly, it seems Silent Hill Homecoming is still the best 'next gen' horror.

I surely must be playing a different game to all of you. I've had zero problems with Sheva so far. On my first replay I killed the first boss in one attempt. No rounds fired. Sheva did the 'action', I lured. Whole thing was over in less than two minutes.
Really digging it I am, quality game.
              Kept you waiting, huh?

RE4 wasn't a horror game and neither is this, it is more like a blockbuster action game with some atmospheric elements and some moments where sheer panic sets in. Love it

I am getting really annoyed with all the negetivity surrounding this game. I absolutely love it. People can slag it off and complain about the controls, lack of fear, whatever, but ultimately, it's a joy to play, it's exciting and it keeps you hooked. This is exactly what i'd hoped for.

The first boss encounter is a joke, though.

Ooh, a furnace, I wonder if I will have to use it in a minute.

How about some tips for the boss on Chapter 5-2 because I've been running around like Benny Hill for the last twenty minutes and I'm all out of ideas?

I've knocked over and shot the gas tanks, threw every type of grenade in my possession at it, grilled it with the flamethrower, but still the bloody thing won't go down. Sheva is next to useless. Like a gentleman, I've kindly provided her with a shottie and ammo but she refuses to use it. Instead she will occasionally swipe at it in passing with the cattle prod. She might as well be bashing it with her handbag for all the good it does.

It's the first time in the game where I've cursed the lack of a human partner for assistance.

                      You have to

flamethrower it and wait for two tentacle things to come out and shoot the red blobs on them

, keep doing that and eventually you shall prevail.

RE4 is Aliens. The focus is on action but there are still scary aspects (regenerators, some bits in the castle). RE5 is Predator, a solid action film but no real horror.

I'm just in denial of what happened to 'Vamp'.

                            I'm sure....it's a CLONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well it's over and I couldn't be more pleased. Very good game throughout with only one minor problem with Sheva's A.I.

Really enjoyed the games pacing, you never feel like you're being dragged through filler which is one of the criticisms I have with the pre-rendered versions of RE. This game, like RE4 just piles on the action at you, no real time to stop.

The controls never gave me a problem, even the inventory, despite it's clunky nature. I soon familiarised myself with where I put items and quickly pressed Y, direction, A to perform an action or simply mapping the most important items to the up down left right directions for Dpad access.

The stop-shoot flow of the game works in favour of both the level and enemy design, the quick turn allows you to keep track of any fast movers and the laser dot is just as good as it was in Operation Winback on the N64.

This game does feel more action, than horror but that's fine by me. The bosses and sub bosses sure put me under pressure and scary situations. Great variation in levels and enviroments made sure I was never bored and the weapons are great to use for the different co-op situations.

Gonna play this again but only co-op, gonna rack up some monies

                              Is

                              The Mercenaries mode

worth playing? I've seen nothing but love for it so i'll check it out soon.
